When you’re done listening, tell someone in your house about your favorite color.

What is your favorite color?  Why is that your favorite color?  Think about your reasons.  Use the paper included or your own paper.  At the top of the paper, you have a sentence starter:  (write favorite color here)  is Best. My favorite color is ______.  Tell why, giving your reasons.

Take two dominoes.  Count the dots on each one and write an addition sentence.

Share what happened in the story with someone in your home.  

Ask the people in your home how they feel about ants.

Think about Hey, Little Ant.  What’s YOUR opinion? 

Should the boy squish the ant? Choose one of the pages (or paper of your own).  

Write your opinion: Squish or Save?

Using the blank  Domino Addition page (or dominoes drawn on paper), 

choose a domino, draw the dots on paper, and write the addition sentence.

Today, our lesson is about leaving spaces between words.

Add the dots on your dominoes.  Sort them by their answers (i.e. 1 + 3 = 4 and 2 + 2 = 4).  

Then do the Domino Addition activity.

As we start week 6 of our distance learning, we want to give a shout out to our wonderful parents. You are doing an amazing job...working...parenting...facilitating all the lessons from teachers, many of you doing this with more that just your Kindergartener.  We appreciate you SO much!!
